Didn't even get to try the food! Our server was surly and ignored us! Another customer came in after us who apparently was a regular. She gushed over him and got him food right away and made 2 additional trips to his table for 1 salad while we continued to wait for her to take our order. We got up and left! Apparently new customers are not as important as regulars! I am a server in another restaurant which also has a lot of regulars. But I can not give bad service to new customers who potentially could become regular customers! Too bad since my mother who I was with only lives a few blocks away!

This place is truly the best Italian food you can get in Rhode Island. I always get the veal cutlet and request nepolitano sauce. The sauce is full of capicola, and is really good. Sometimes we get the calamari with picked hot peppers and a side of marinara. They bread the calamari with corn for I think. Really good also.

Very good, authentic, Italian food. Enormous portions at reasonable prices. Very friendly and attentive waitstaff. Clean, but basic atmosphere. A classic Rhode Island dining experience.

CASH ONLY ATM available. Very local place. In the VFW building. No signs outside at all. Google maps will take you to the right location. Menu is very Italian. Lots of pasta, chicken and veal. Few vegetarian options but some salads. I had the chicken parmesan. Comes with a choice of salad, pasta or potatoes and veggies. Pasta and veggies is not an option. Why not? You can get veggies as a side order at an additional cost. Portions was quite large. I took half the chicken home. The chicken was very tender and flavorful and the tomato sauce was very good but not grea.t Service was very fast. Prices were good, about average for the area.

If you've never been...good...i won't have to wait sooooo long for a table!!! The polenta is where it's at!!!!! Other dishes are super yummy but honestly, you come for the polenta!! Never had its equal!!!

MIKE’S KITCHENWent for lunch on Saturday and the place was jammed. Got seated immediately, greeted with smiles and delicious bread was brought to our table. Served beverages and got our orders taken within minutes. The food is spectacular. Tasty and all home made. Can’t wait to come back and try more goodies. Plenty of parking. Service awesome.

The real Veal was delicious! Even the sides of oven browned potatoes (lightly seasoned) and peas and carrots had garlic present to give the Italian flair. Even the bread and salad were all deserving of the 5 stars.

Old time, no frills down to earth Kitchen. Its like one big happy family, everyone is sociable. The Fried Calamari was yummy, light on breading & not overcooked, plate could have held more. Discovered sign on wall, Fresh Tomato Caprese Salad ... the tomatoes were wicked delicious ... also great Veal Rollatini. Its busy, but the wait is not that bad, Friday nights usually 25 minutes, if people don't linger, its faster. The food is well worth the wait!!! Cranston's hidden secret! 👍😊

Never a bad meal at Mike's kitchen. It's like going to Grandma's house to spend time family and friends.

I don't care where you go in the Providence area. It doesn't matter how expensive the food is. Or what great chef prepared the food. Mike's is the best Italian food this side of the Atlantic. Period. Case closed. Done. Finnito. You have to only go once and you will never be happy with any other Italian cooking, other than maybe mama's!
